Complexion Analysis
The VISIA® Complexion Analysis System, transforms our ability to analyze your skin and evaluate your on-going skin treatments. The VISIA® system allows us to critically and objectively measure and assess sun damage, pigmentation spots, wrinkles, texture issues and much more! Utilizing the results of the VISIA analysis will enhance our ability to design individualized skin treatment packages and assure you a true partnership in healthcare. Based on your complexion profile, your facial rejuvenation program will include specific recommendations for continuing to monitor the vitality of your complexion and allows you to monitor the effectiveness of your skin care regime over time.
The VISIA® will provide you with detailed information about "spots", which are typically brown or red lesions, including freckles, acne scars, increased or hyper pigmentation and vascular lesions which appear on your face in various sizes and generally have a circular shape. The VISIA® will be able to evaluate your "pores", the circular openings of the sweat gland ducts on your face. Pores usually appear darker than the surrounding skin and the VISIA® is able to distinguish the much smaller pores from spots.

"Wrinkles" are furrows, folds or creases in the facial skin which usually increase in occurrence as a result of sun exposure, and associated with decreasing skin elasticity. Wrinkles are highly dependent upon your facial expressions. "Texture" is primarily an analysis of skin smoothness.
Texture readings display skin color from the surrounding skin tone and such variations are depicted in yellows and blues on your VISIA® report. The VISIA® is able to identify and measure areas of "UV damage" which are generally invisible under normal lighting conditions. UV spots occur below the skin surface as a result of sun damage. "Red" areas represent a potential variety of conditions such as acne, inflammation, Rosacea or spider veins. Superficial blood vessels give structures their red color. "Brown" spots are lesions on the skin such as increased pigmentation, freckles, and melasma. Brown spots occur from an excess of the pigment Melanin, and are generally uneven.
